About Us

Well Well uses the Flinchlock Release model which originated from a martial arts practice that was developed in New Zealand. Its basis is that the skeleton has its own self-defence system which automatically engages when bone is impacted. The body responds by shifting your centre of balance to compensate, affecting your entire body. The resulting imbalance causes pain however where that is felt may not actually be at the original injury site.

As a fully trained Flinchlock Release Practitioner, Jane Wright is trained to locate and address the cause of the pain using a gentle, non-invasive technique. A session typically takes from 30-50 minutes.

Meet Jane

Jane Wright started her career as a gardener, working in Botanic Gardens across New Zealand for over 15 years. She later qualified as vet nurse, a skill which she put to good use running a beef farm with her husband.

As someone who has always had physical jobs, she saw a lot of impact and strain injuries happen at work. In 2008 she commenced studying Flinchlock Release, initially applying her technique to stock and workers on the farm.

As word of her skills and success in treating pain grew, she continued her training and expanded her services and client base (with an emphasis on caring for humans). Jane continues to undertake professional development annually and now operates Well, Well from her premises at 6 Homestead Road.
